Frequently Asked Questions
How much does therapy cost?
Individual sessions for adults and teens are $250. Couples sessions are $275–$350, depending on session length.
Do you take insurance?
I'm an out-of-network provider. I provide a monthly superbill you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement if you have a PPO plan with out-of-network benefits. Many clients also use an HSA card.
Why don't you take insurance?
Insurance usually requires a mental health diagnosis and can limit how many sessions you get. Private pay keeps your care confidential and lets us decide together what you need.
Who do you work with?
Adults dealing with anxiety, ADHD, burnout, and life transitions; couples stuck in conflict or distance; and teens, with support for their parents.
What is your approach?
Warm, direct, and collaborative. My work draws from attachment-based therapy, Emotionally Focused (EFT-informed) work with couples, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed parts work. Together we look at the patterns keeping you stuck, why they developed, and practice new ways of responding.
Do you see clients in person?
Yes, at my office at 2615 S Sepulveda Blvd, Suite 215, in Hermosa Beach. I also offer online sessions anywhere in California.
How do I get started?
Book a free 15-minute phone consultation. We'll talk about what's going on and whether I'm the right fit. If I'm not, I'll help you find someone who is.
Do you work with teens?
Yes. I see teens individually and keep parents involved in a way that protects the teen's trust.
I have ADHD. Will you understand what that's like?
Yes. I live with ADHD myself, so I know firsthand it isn't a willpower problem. Our work focuses on strategies that fit how your brain actually works.
